Edward C. Mouton, Sr. President/CEO of Mouton Insurance Brokerage, has over thirty years of experience in various aspects of the insurance industry, including life, domestic and international property and casualty, and Surety Bond Field underwriting. In April 1996, he established Mouton Insurance Brokerage, an Independent Insurance Agency, with the primary goal of providing quality and affordable insurance for intercity residents, small businesses and not for profit entities. The Agency continues to offer a wide range of insurance services for individuals, commercial businesses, and non-profit organizations. Edward Mouton is a founding member of the Washington Area Minority Insurance Agents, a former Board Member of National African American Insurance Association (NAAIA), and member of the Metropolitan Washington Association of Independent Agents.

Carla Dickens is Managing Director at Mouton Insurance Brokerage, Inc. and has over 20 years of Property & Casualty insurance experience. Carla has a wide range of knowledge and expertise in developing appropriate commercial insurance products for both domestic and international clients. Carla is Life licensed and able to recommend life insurance products for businesses and individuals. Carla’s goal is to provide the type of service and knowledge that is rarely experienced in the industry today.  She is a current member and past Board of Director (2019-2020) for the Metropolitan Washington Association of Independent Insurance Agents. Carla is currently a member of the DC Chamber of Commerce and a Women in Business Committee Member.

Adwoa Dunn-Mouton started her career in Insurance working for a large Brokerage firm in San Francisco, CA. After several years in the industry, Adwoa started another career and spent the next 20 years working in various positions related to International Affairs, primarily focused on Africa. She came back to the insurance industry to work with Mouton Insurance in 2001 as an agent and financial officer for the Agency.

Shelly H. Grasty has over 20 years of insurance experience with Mouton Insurance Brokerage. Shelly is a native Washingtonian and DC resident. Licensed in Washington, DC, Maryland and Virginia, Shelly is familiar with the variety of businesses and organizations that operate and thrive in the DC Metropolitan area.  Shelly began her insurance career as a Customer Service Representative. She brings that experience of understanding and listening to clients to develop the right package of insurance products that meet their specific needs. Shelly works with a wide range of businesses and non-profits and is known to provide exceptional customer service tailoring her client’s insurance needs with the best product at competitive rates. Her motto is “I pride myself in protecting your dreams!”. Shelly is a member of the DC Chamber of Commerce and Metropolitan Washington Association of Independent Insurance Agents.

Edith Hernandez is a native Washingtonian, born into a first-generation Salvadoran Latino American household. Edith is bilingual and has a clear understanding the business community in the metropolitan area. Edith has over 14 years of experience in the Insurance Industry. She has worked as a specialist in both business and personal insurance. Her focus is on providing a variety of property and casualty products and services that meet the unique needs of her clients. She strives to work closely with all of her clients so that she has a firm grasp of the appropriate insurance products suited to each unique business. Edith is a member of the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Metropolitan Washington Association of Independent Insurance Agents.
